This is a small game that was made in a few days for the Brainless Mini-Game Jam. I went into the jam wanting to make a typing game (I've been wanting to for a while). And when I saw the theme was "Simpler Times" I decided it'd be fun to make a game where you had to type using a flip phone interface.
I figured it fit the theme since it's from an older time period and you have to type with only 9 keys, so it's simpler than with a full alphabet...
I was quite busy with work starting up again, New Years resolutions and visiting family this weekend, but I still managed to find a bit of time for it. And I'm really happy with how it turned out!
...although please ignore my terrible text speak

the graphics, sound effects and UI are great. really nice take on the mechanic, i didnt know how to start the game but i used my number pad to type 'play' and the conversation began. punching in the numbers feels calculated and also disorienting which really suits the vibe of the storyline, its actually a cool experience. number-texting on phone is just as confusing as i remember but you do start to get the hang of it. i could imagine some roguelike elements to randomise things or make things easier, or rewarding the player with auto-predict text if they hit a clean combo or something. but its a really awesome game for such a short jam and has a lot of potential
