Tables & Tremors
This is my game for Ludum Dare 49 where the theme was "Unstable".
I'd recommend playing it in fullscreen since the tables can be pretty small when in windowed..
In this game you have to ground-pound near tables which will send them flying, then you can bounce off of them to complete platforming levels. Get to the portal to finish each level and try to get the fastest time.
Right Click / Space - Ground Pound
Left Click / Shift - Dash
WASD / Arrows- Move
R - Restart Level
I decided I'd take part in the compo this time, since I always do game jams alone anyway so I figured it made sense.
I thought of the idea for this game since "Unstable" made me think of earthquakes, which made me think of a game where you could ground pound enemies and send them flying with the shockwave. The reason there are tables in the game and not enemies is because I didn't think I'd have time to make the AI, and the other idea I had was anything to do with tables (Uns-table).
The mechanics of the game are pretty similar to the last game jam game I completed, but I decided I'd use this game jam to test my speed and level design skills, because the last game jam I did was a week long whereas now I've only got 48 hours.
Thank you for playing, I hope you like it.
